In response to popular demand, the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island has released Alone Together: The Making of 'Very Truly Yours, Gilbert & Sullivan,' a 20-minute YouTube film in which director Gayden Wren and producer/technical director Sara Holliday explain some of the tricks that went into enabling the cast of 51 performers to appear to sing together, talk with each other and even dance together in the online movie Very Truly Yours, Gilbert & Sullivan--a film made during the COVID-19 lockdown with every performer recording his/her performance separately. The making-of also includes outtakes and some technical wizardy that didn't find its way into the movie.
