The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island opened its 2022 production of The Mikado: A Long Island Fantasy on Saturday night at Temple Am-Echad in Lynbrook. A small but enthusiastic audience--kept down by a recent surge in COVID-19 rates--gave the show a warm reception. Subsequent performances will be in Montauk, Commack, Port Washington, Manhattan, Huntington and Bethpage.
