The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island has been a mainstay of the Island's cultural scene since 1954, but it does occasionally venture beyond its home turf. Such will be the case on June 26, 2022, at 3 p.m., when the company presents The Mikado: A Long Island Fantasy at the Riverside Theatre on Claremont Avenue in Manhattan. The theater has long been the company's preferred venue in Manhattan, and The Mikado will mark its return there after an enforced two-year absence due to the pandemic.
