Under the rubric "Tennessee Walt's Country Century," the New York-based country singer/songwriter Tennessee Walt will perform a series of three lecture/concert programs at the Bay View Music Festival in Bay View, Michigan, on the scenic coast of Lake Michigan. Featured will be Bristol & Beyond: The Birth of Country Music on July 18; Hanks a Lot! The Golden Age of Country Music on July 18; and Riding with the Outlaws on July 20. Together the three shows constitute a brief history of 20th-century country music, featuring the songs of such iconic stars as Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Kris Kristofferson, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and more.
