Tennessee Walt arrived in Bay View, Michigan, on Tuesday--a week ahead of the first of four programs he's to give as part of the Bay View Music Festival. The programs are familiar shows--Bristol & Beyond: The Birth of Country Music (July 18), Hanks a Lot!: The Golden Age of Country Music (July 20); and Riding with the Outlaws (July 22), as well as an originals show on Saturday, July 23--but Walt wants to familiarize himself with the piano and the acoustics at Voorhies Hall, where the programs will be held, before it's time to start the marathon.
