Defying a serious COVID-19 outbreak that required several principals to be replaced and cut the size of the chorus in half, the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company brought The Mikado: A Long Island Fantasy to the Riverside Theatre in Manhattan on Sunday afternoon, and left an enthusiastic audience cheering and crying for more. (A particular hit was scored by Delaney Page, who--in addition to playing her customary role as Peep-Bo--also played the formidable Katisha, changing costumes back and forth as the scene dictated.)
