Tennessee Walt's first official Michigan show was a hit on Monday, as he presented Bristol & Beyond: The Birth of Country Music at Voorhies Hall in Bay View. The show, which was enthusiastically received by a large audience, is the first in a three-show series called Tennessee Walt's Country Century; the series will continue on Wednesday with Hanks a Lot!: The Golden Age of Country Music, and conclude on Friday with Riding with the Outlaws. Walt will perform Sounds Like Country from Here: Songs by Tennessee Walt, an all-originals program, on Saturday before returning to New York.
