The overwhelming success of Tennessee Walt's A Distant Country, streamed live on April 4 and viewed by more than 1,300 people, has led to calls for a follow-up. Walt announced today that there will indeed be A Distant Country 2, streaming live on Facebook.com/TennesseeWalt at 2 p.m. on May 2. As with the original, the show will feature a mix of classic country songs and originals, and will benefit the libraries of the tristate area, as they work to reinvent themselves in the age of pandemics and lockdowns.
