The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island's 2019 production of "The Gondoliers" made its official debut this afternoon at the Great Neck Public Library. Starring Vincenzo Fiorito and Henry Hortstmann as the gondoliers Marco and Giuseppe, with Ben Salers and Terry Hochler as the Duke and Duchess of Plaza-Toro, the show had its share of opening-night quirks, but was received with loud applause by a large and enthusiastic notice. Particularly noteworthy were the company debuts of Horstmann as Giuseppe, Lauren Delucia as Casilda and David Sterling as Luiz.
