The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island's first performance of Gayden Wren's "Very Truly Yours, Gilbert & Sullivan" will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at the East Hampton Library. The play, which tells the story of Gilbert & Sullivan through their letters and diaries, other contemporary documents and excerpts from all 14 of their operas, was given its world premiere by the company in 1995, and since then has been mounted by other companies in Austin, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Oberlin, Ohio; Rochester, N.Y; and a successful Off-Broadway run in 1998.
