A capacity crowd packed the New York Society Library for a launch party celebrating Sara Holliday's "A Thousand Dances: A Novel of the British Blues Boom" and the music and culture of 1960s England, in which the book is set. Holliday talked about the book, presenting an evocative slide show and playing period music, and even sang two songs written specifically for the book by songwriters Gayden Wren and Paul V. Patanella.
Holliday is familiar to Society Library members as the library's head of events since 2001, and has many friends among its members and staff.
