The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island returned to the Jeanne Rimsky Theatre at the Landmark on Main Street, a Port Washington venue that is familiar to its followers, with its 2018 production of Gilbert & Sullivan's "Patience."
It was the first time the show has been presented with full orchestra, under the baton of music director Conrad Chu, and a large audience responded eagerly to the show's many musical high points.
"We love the Landmark," said Gayden Wren, a 40-year company veteran who stars as Bunthorne. "It's one of the best places we've ever performed, and we always look forward to coming back here."
"Patience" will be repeated tomorrow afternoon at the Landmark, before moving on to performances in Manhattan and in Suffolk County.
