"Recording Broadway: An Evening with Thomas Z. Shepard" drew a capacity crowd to the Smithtown Public Library on June 7. The famed record producer, known for his work on classical albums and on Broadway original-cast albums, regaled the audience with behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of the albums for some of Broadway's most iconic shows, notably "Sweeney Todd" and "Follies in Concert."
