Laid all but low by a bout of laryngitis, Tennessee Walt presented Tennessee Walt's Bristol & Beyond: The Birth of Country Music at the West Hempstead Public Library in the guise of a D.J., playing the original recordings of the songs he usually sings. Not what anyone came for, but it’s hard to argue with the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Johnny Cash and those folks.
